Sopranos Ending

So.... didn't anyone else get it??

The point was that it didn't matter if the man died. The purpose of the whole ending was to show that life goes on. Expect good but bad with it. You get older. Your children grow up and you move on.

Uncle was a great way of showing this point. He used to be Tony and now his life has come full circle. "You used to run North Jersey". Now he is an old man without a memory of all the things that he accomplished, but also did wrong.

The cat is proof that what you do can and will come back to haunt you. This is also very apparent with the choice of the potential "hit men" that can be found in the diner in the last scene. The trucker was the brother of the guy who was killed by Christopher. The man at the counter was Phil's nephew. The two black men I believe were the ones that shot Tony in the past.

You can run but you cant hide. What you can do, if you are a man like Tony, is at least in between all the nonsense and the haunted pasts.... look towards the family that you love and focus on them. Give them a future.
